Art And Design Committed to Protecting Our Cultural Landmarks And Icons
“New Orleans is a unique setting, with incredible landmarks, culture, and history. I tend to gather around its inspirational architecture, churches and temples especially, because they are gathering spaces for the forces of nature that reside here, music, births, weddings, funerals.. all of it.
I try to curate that emotion in my work, and that’s part of my protective nature about this culture. It has to be protected and conserved so it can be handed to the next generation. Constantly exposed to an aggressive climate and the forces of time, southern Louisiana is a harsh environment that leans on strong grassroots and institutional stewardship to maintain its culture so it remains for future generations.
Art has the unique power to ignite passion and foster community, making it a vital catalyst for to help preserve cultural icons, landmarks, and architecture.
